On March 12, 2023, Ahmed also became the youngest English male cricketer to feature in all three international formats.
Rehan’s father, Naeem Ahmed, a former cricketer from Pakistan, moved to England with his wife in 2001. The family settled in Nottinghamshire, where Rehan and his brothers, Farhan and Raheem, developed their cricketing skills. Ahmed began his cricket journey in the youth setup of Nottinghamshire but later moved to Leicestershire in 2017.
