James Anderson, a seasoned bowler who has played six Test tours in India, returned to the team, adding a lot of experience to the lineup.

After both teams made calculated movements, Rohit Sharma started the game by playing it conservatively, and Shoaib Bashir claimed his first Test wicket. Things got intense.
